Port of Spain: Microsoft’s Vice President for Latin America, Hernan Rincon, announced a new initiative of his company called Student-to-Business, on the second day of the Fifth Summit of the Americas' Private Sector Forum. The project, he said, is the company’s way of finding students and giving them the opportunities and experience they will not normally get.

Port of Spain: Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, the Honourable Patrick Manning has praised civil society for what he described as its “indispensable role”. As he officially opened the Civil Society Forum of the Fifth Summit of the Americas on April 14th 2009 on the Carnival Victory, which is docked in the Port of Port of Spain, Mr. Manning said the group has a critical role to play in the development of people and the governance of society.
